I.                    WELCOME to the Pine Hill Scout Reservation

Pine Hill Scout Reservation in Pine Hill , NJ is conveniently and wonderfully situated in the Pinelands Ecosystem of New Jersey.  (See “Directions to Camp”)

It offers a wonderful outdoor experience in a location convenient to the major metropolitan center of Philadelphia .  It is the closest camp to many of the area’s historic sites, museums, cultural sites and activities.  Transportation is easy with the PATCO High Speed Rail Line from the Lindenwold Station - free parking (See “Nearby Attractions”).  

Available to Scout community, and youth groups, the camp provides a variety of camping and outdoor experiences (see “Camping Facilities” and “Other Facilities”).  

Its exceptional location in the environmentally unique Pinelands ecosystem makes it a terrific nature study site.  In fact, the camp is the host to an endangered species.  PHSR was chosen as the site for the 2001 Environthon, a statewide youth environmental competition. (See “Recent Camp Activities ”).  

Does your group, including high school, want to make a difference?  The camp has ample opportunities to perform community service.  Campmasters have a list of projects; large and small (See Community Service” and “Campmaster”)

Come camp, hike on 8 miles of trails; fish on Lekau Lake , practice marksmanship on the rifle or archery ranges, perform community service, enjoy the woods or just play in an outdoor setting.  (See “Make a Reservation”)

II.                   CAMPING FACILITIES

CABINS

·        ANDERSON LODGE.  Bunks for youth (16) and two separate areas for adults with bunks (8).  Wood stove, kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator.  

·        WEBSTER LODGE.  Bunks for youth (20) and adults (4).  Heated with sinks, flush toilets and showers, living room/eating area.  

DINING HALL LEANTOS.   Five structures with sleeping capacity of 4-6.  Covered pavilion in area  

 

CAMPSITES. Tent campsites are available.
